levels. It has worked with State Government agencies, regional development
bodies, Local Governments and local industry coalitions to conceptualise and
implement regional economic development strategies and realise individual

Service Projects
The Regional Export Extension Service (REES) projects were
benchmark strategies aimed at assisting regions to adapt to change in the global
economy by helping local businesses develop export capability. The REES projects
involved an audit of export activity and export potential in the region, and
analysis of firm needs in relation to export, the delivery of assistance to
address these needs and the establishment of a long term resource for export
development in the region.
INSTATE Pty Ltd has been involved in the development and delivery of three REES
projects in South Australia and one in NSW:
A Regional Export Extension Service for Northwest Adelaide, implemented 1994-1996 and resulting in the establishment of the Northwest Adelaide Exporters' Club;
A Regional Export Extension Service for the City of Onkaparinga, implemented 1999-2001, resulting in the establishment of the Onkaparinga Exporters' Club;
A Food Regional Export Extension Service, assistance provided to members of the food industry located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, 2001. Kristine Peters Project Management worked with INSTATE on the early stages of this REES in identifying businesses and assessing needs in relation to exporting; and
Export Extension Services delivered to the New England / Northwest region of NSW for NENW Regional Development Board in early 1996, and again in 2003.
